Theres always something positive happening here. Positive beacon of light in the west side. Can pay utilities as well as participate in senior curriculum programs. I was there for a 60th birthday party.Ī great senior hub site. It has been around for decades and is still going strong providing services to the community. This community center had a variety of rooms and a stage for any event.I have attended a stage play, womens event and baby shower etc. You can use the payment kiosk, go swimming, do Zumba, schedule a banquet room and more. This activity center is a jewel in the community. They also run other non profits out of the space. Michigan Works is also housed within this building. I just saw a fashion show entitled "This Girl is On Fire" This is s great venue to host weddings, seminars etc.

A bit high though membership for working out is $40, plus whatever the class cost i.e. Has a lot of options swimming, exercise classes, programs for children, programs for seniors. Theres a small police station and a Michigan Works office there as well! Excellent group fitness classes and a wobderful fitness coach by the name of Rozzell! They also have zumba and a beautiful reception hall inside. You better have someone stay in the vehicle and be ready to move it our get a parking ticket like I did. If you have to unload something from your vehicle and its going to take some time to unload it. Not satisfied with the locations parking. They have rooms of all sizes and the place is well maintained. In addition, it is a great place to rent a room for any type of party (birthday, shower, graduation). The best community center in Detroit! This place has a ballroom, theater, gym and swimming pool.

I love it because i get in and pay my bills worry free can come in on Sunday if I have to at 7:30 or just before closing I like that dont have to go downtown anymore paying for parking standing on a long lines dont have to do that anymore they need more locations I ues it for all my bills its Great

It has your employment resources ready and available you can fax for free and adults can get their ballroom exercise on. It has activities for children for the summer and you can also pay your DTE bill there with the kiosk. I have attended events at the facility and found them to be very good. The senior citizens rates are the best I have seen. I love the facilities and fin the staff very friendly and helpful. I have been a member of the NWAC health club for about six years. It makes me actually ENJOY coming here to sweat and get my exercise. The locker room and swimming pool are always clean and they even have a sauna here.Īlso, included in the membership are aerobics and stretching classes. The staff is always helpful and professional. They have an awesome workout/weight room. I joined bc my goal is to get healthier this year.
